Credit Help

Do you have poor credit that just seems to keep getting worse? Turn that frown up-side-down! There is a lot that you can do to help get your credit back on track and pull yourself out of debt. People who are up to there ears in debt usually feel overwhelmed and out of control. They have every right to feel that way, because the more debt you have, the faster it grows. Your payments keep going up because of the interest compiling. You also lose track of all your bills and you miss a few payments, so you are slapped with some outrageous late fees. Before you know it, things have gone out of control.

We can help offer suggestions, but you are the one who has to take action to get yourself out of this mess.
  • Start by taking a look at your credit report. This will help give you an idea of what your credit looks like and where things went wrong or are currently going wrong. You can get this report for free.
  • If you notice some errors or inconsistencies on your credit report, it might be worth your while to talk to some credit repair specialists. Although you can technically do everything they will be doing (disputing credit claims, requesting to remove false reports, etc), they are trained professionals and know exactly how to go about it. Unfortunately, there have been some credit repair scams in the past, but we will try our best to steer you clear of those shifty companies.
  • If you have a bunch of different payments (several credit cards, various loans, consumer financing, etc) that you are having trouble keeping track of, a debt consolidation loan will basically pay off all those miscellaneous debts and consolidate into one loan, usually with a lower interest rate. If you are in a lot of trouble, these debt consolidation companies might be able to negotiate with the creditors to allow you to be relieved of some of the debt.
  • Once you have your finances in order, signing up for a credit monitoring service will help protect your identity from fraud, and also warn you when something undesirable has been placed on your credit history.
  • If things really go south and you start defaulting on your mortgage, you might need some foreclosure help so that you can understand and explore your options.
  • If you can’t stop foreclosure, your best bet is usually to sell your home. Here, we will discuss some ways to get top dollar and make sure it sells quickly.
